Evergreen perennial has bright green leaves with darker green stripes, as well as purple undersides. Leaves open and close depending on the time of day. Tiny white flowers occasionally emerge.

Grows best in enriched, well drained soil. Feed monthly with an indoor plant fertilizer. Prune to control height only as needed. Repot every 2 years in spring.
